Administrative Assistant
St. Paul Ballet (SPB) is seeking candidates who work well with the dedicated, mindful, and supportive environment at St. Paul Ballet. A successful candidate will be punctual, personable, and able to work in a fast-paced environment while keeping a calm and professional demeanor.

Primary responsibilities of the position include welcoming parents, students, and guests to SPB, as well as handling phone calls, emails, requests, signing in students and assisting School Manager and Directors with day-to-day administrative tasks. Please put that it is part-time, and evening or daytime shifts vary depending on Summer Intensive, classes and camps. TEACHING

Young Children’s Dance Teacher
St. Paul Ballet (SPB) is seeking a young children’s dance teacher who is dedicated, mindful and supportive of the mission at St. Paul Ballet. Classes include creative dance for children aged 4-6. Young dancers will have the ability to play, explore and dance using various movement concepts to expand their range of motion in a fun, imaginative manner. A successful candidate will be prepared, punctual, personable, inspiring, enthusiastic and able to work in a fast-paced environment while keeping a calm and professional demeanor.

Teaching hours are on Saturdays, with classes beginning at 8:45 am. Candidate should have some potential availability to substitute teach similar age group during after school hours. Position is part-time with hourly pay. Teacher will be contracted from August 2017 until August 2018, and Saturday hours beginning September 9, 2017.

The classes include training for dancers ages 7-12 years old. A successful candidate will be prepared, punctual, personable, inspiring, enthusiastic and able to work in a fast-paced environment while keeping a calm and professional demeanor.

Teaching hours are Saturdays from 11:30 am – 2 pm. Candidate should have some potential availability to substitute teach similar age group during after school hours and Saturdays. Position is part-time with hourly pay. Teacher will be contracted from August 2017 until August 2018, and Saturday hours begin September 9, 2017.

ACCOMPANISTS

Piano Accompanists
Saint Paul Ballet has openings for part-time piano accompanists for ballet classes from time-to-time.
Interested candidates who are experienced in classical ballet accompaniment are invited to apply. Good sight reading of music and familiarity with ballet class is an asset. Working hours are flexible and competitive hourly remuneration is offered. Position, Duties, and Responsibilities:
1.    Prepare and know the music needed for all classes and levels for which you are scheduled
2.    Provide and play the proper tempo, style and variations of music suitable for each assigned class
3.    Increase and expand your musical repertoire throughout the year for all classes
4.    Include music from the renowned ballet classics in your musical repertoire for classes
5.    Practice proper professional code of conduct at all times
6.    Communicate in a professional and courteous manner at all times to parents, staff and students

Company and Apprentices
Saint Paul Ballet (SPB) is not currently seeking full-time dancers. Part-time apprentice positions are available. Auditions are by appointment with the Artistic Director during a professional class. OTHER

SPB Clean for Class Program
The Clean for Class Program at SPB School offers financial assistance to pre-professional students and their parents who are interested in working in exchange for reduced tuition. Shifts are flexible Sunday through Saturday. This program operates by using motivated and reliable participants to clean the studio mirrors, lobby, bathrooms, and dance floors in exchange for $10 of credit towards their tuition per hour worked. You must be able to keep a regular schedule of cleaning hours.

SPB Work Program
The Work Program is open to students and parents 17 years+ enrolled full-time. Earn credit toward classes by answering the telephone at the reception desk during hours outside of your classes. The program operates by using motivated and reliable participants who would like to earn a 4-class card for 4 hours worked.
