Per the Minnesota Governor’s Executive Order #20-04 we will be closed through May 1st.

We remain committed to equity and inclusiveness, especially for those who are marginalized, and understand that the pandemic will hit some in our community harder than others. Closures of non-profits have a profound effect on the financial health of artists and children in our program.

Our organization is a non-profit and our staff are hourly employees. Please consider a DONATION at this time to “keep the lights on” and supplement our staff.  Their contribution to the vitality of our lives is hard to quantify: beautiful movement and music sparks our imaginations, gives us meaning, helps us understand our world and gives us great personal satisfaction.

We are now offering online classes for our current members.

We will be checking voicemail (651-690-1588) and email ( over the break and taking registrations for summer. Thank you for your support as we navigate uncertainty together!

Adult and Teen classes are held on a continuous basis year-round including summer. Check the School Calendar for breaks during the year.

Teen and Adult Classes are designed for students who wish to begin or continue dance training for health, recreation or self-enrichment. Students are encouraged to grow as an individual artist and to participate at their own pace. Classes are taught by teachers dedicated to the growth and fostering of ballet as an art form and believe dance contributes to a healthy lifestyle. Classes emphasize overall body conditioning and encourage an aesthetic appreciation of dance.  Classes are accompanied by professional musicians who collaborate with our teachers just as in our pre-professional program.

Our drop-in program allows students a flexible schedule that meets the needs of both the working professional and busy student. Call, email or drop by the studio during our business hours to learn more.

SPB offers teen students individual placement assessments for beginning to intermediate ballet. Please contact
