Adult and Teen Drop-in Open Classes
Adult and Teen classes are held on a continuous basis year-round including summer. Check the calendar below for breaks during the year. Fall 2018 classes begin on Tuesday, September 4th.
Special January Thursday mornings with master teacher, Barbara Weinstine. She will be teaching Adult Lifelong Ballet on January 3rd, 10th, 24th, and 31st from 10-11:30 am. Don’t miss this opportunity to take classes with Barbara while she is in town!
Barbara received her training with the Andaházys and is dedicated to the rich tradition of the Russian method, on which she bases her teaching. She has studied with artists including Gabriela Komleva, Luba Gulyaeva, Marina Stavitskya, Alla Sizova, Vladimir Davidoff, Jurgen Schneider, and Carol Roderick. Barbara performed in classical ballets and original works including, Les Sylphides, Pas de Quatre, Scheherazade, Los Seises, Vivaldi Concerto, and Miraculous Stag. She is proficient in knowledge and implementation of the Vaganova Syllabus.
Teen and Adult Classes are designed for students who wish to begin or continue dance training for health, recreation or self-enrichment. Students are encouraged to grow as an individual artist and to participate at their own pace. Classes are taught by teachers dedicated to the growth and fostering of ballet as an art form and believe dance contributes to a healthy lifestyle. Classes emphasize overall body conditioning and encourage an aesthetic appreciation of dance. All classes are accompanied by professional musicians who collaborate with our teachers just as in our pre-professional program and for our professional dancers.
Our drop-in program allows students a flexible schedule that meets the needs of both the working professional and busy student. Call, email or drop by the studio during out business hours to learn more.
CALL: 651-690-1588 with questions.
SPB offers teen students individual placement assessments for beginning to intermediate ballet.
