Level 1 Ballet Age 9+
(Must be age 9 by September 1, 2018) Two lessons per week for the school year.
Introductory ballet technique according to a Vaganova-based curriculum, with a focus on developing movement vocabulary. Classes include introduction to modern which is essential in nurturing versatility and growth in creativity and workshop which allows the appropriate time to prepare and rehearse choreography for performances.

Intro to Modern/Contemporary Ages 12-19
Come engage and create a dance community by celebrating American modern technique. By exploring the introductory concepts of Cunningham, Graham and Horton, dancers will learn the importance of energy, time, space and levels in movement. You are invited to create joy in movement!

Teaching artist: Rahila Coats is an active dancer and choreographer in the Twin Cities. She has studied dance across the globe at Gustavus Adolphus College, University of Ghana and Hebrew University’s Dance Jerusalem. She is finishing her final year at the University of Minnesota- Twin Cities where she will receive her BFA in Dance.
