Imagine a boxing ring and a stage on either side of a gymnasium with the audience in between. Created by the SPBs Artistic Director Zoé Emilie Henrot and Element Boxing Director Dalton Outlaw, The Art of Boxing. The Sport of Ballet is a community event created from a common vision to build equity, inclusivity and community through the art of movement.

Swirling snowflakes, waltzing flowers, and the Sugar Plum Fairy. All of the magic of the classic! This must-see holiday event for the whole family, is the perfect way to introduce young children to the power and beauty of classical dance.  Directed by Zoé Emilie Henrot, the company leads a cast of almost 100 in this family-friendly, 90-minute show.

The season will finish this year with an original ballet by Artistic Director Zoé Emilie Henrot with music arranged and composed by Richard Erickson. Join us at the O’Shaughnessy to complete the 2017/18 season in 1920s New York City. With new set design my Anne Henly, set designer of Clara’s Dream from The Nutcracker and costumes by Maribeth Romslo watch the well-known story of Carmen come to life in a different era.
