Be present with what you are seeing. Don’t go away — stay with us!”

The artistic team of T. Mychael Rambo, Lirena Branitski and Christina Onusko returns for a second year along with the addition of James Sewell. This veteran dream team brings their artistry and their creative “juice” to this classic performance. Be part of the joy and magic of the season in this retelling for young and old alike.

Snowflakes swirl, flowers dance, mice scurry and magic happens! At the stroke of midnight, the drama unfolds and Marie and her brother Frank travel to a world of colorful characters.

Storyteller extraordinaire, T. Mychael Rambo is our guide to enchantment and the company of James Sewell Ballet delivers show stopping roles to Tchaikovsky’s layered and lush musical score.

The 85-minute length, plus intermission, is a perfect way to introduce children to the power and beauty of classical dance. Stunning sets and costumes and a cast of more than 80 dancers make A Nutcracker Story a must-see tradition for your family and friends.

Whether you are seeing it again or for the first time, make time for joy this season!

A Nutcracker Story is inspired by E.T.A. Hoffmann’s classic tale of a little girl’s dream.
After the annual holiday party Maria and her brother Frank settle in for the night with a bedtime story from Uncle D.
Maria falls asleep and we are welcomed into her dreams to be swept along on a journey to the land of dancing snow and the kingdom where she meets dancers from across the globe, waltzing flowers and the Sugar Plum Fairy and her Cavalier.
